As a member of DSGA, you use the GHIN.com internet handicap system to maintain an official handicap index. The cost for this service is $28 per year.  Once you pay, you will receive a GHIN membership number and can start entering your scores. If you have any problems with your account or have questions, please email the league GHIN admin at ghinadmin@dsgadallas.org

Your handicap is updated on the 1st and 15th of every month. After 5 rounds (18 holes) or 10 1/2 rounds (9 holes), you will have an established handicap index.

To enter a score:

  1. Click on GHIN.com , click on POST SCORES, enter your GHIN # and last name.
  2. Enter the slope and rating of the course, # of holes, and score.
  3. ESC: The Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) scoring system eliminates those ‘blowup’ holes.  You must MANUALLY adjust your score according to the ESC system BEFORE entering it into GHIN.com.  Click on the ‘?’ next to the ‘ESC score’ entry field on GHIN.com to see the small chart you must use to adjust your scores.
