What's Offered in the League:
The Different Strokes Golf Association, DSGA, is a DFW based golf league that organizes fun and competitive golf events for gay and lesbian golfers of all skill levels. DSGA was started in 1997 and boasts over 100 members. We are registered with the Texas Golf Association.
We schedule golf outings about twice a month March thru October. You don't have to be a member to "come out" and play. Just sign up as a guest and see how you like it. Golf Digest asked 32 PGA Tour pros to name the biggest breach of golf etiquette that amateurs make. The most common response was moving while another player is hitting. The second-most was slow play. Says Darren Clarke: "They walk off the green before everyone is done." "They stand in the wrong place," says Bo Van Pelt. "Stand where you can see a guy's back or chest. That's it." "They refuse to pick up their ball, or they take too long to make a decision," says Woody Austin.

Ready Golf!
Please take a moment and read the new page about ready golf guildlines. Ready golf does not mean rushing your shot, it means being ready to play when it is your turn. Ready golf helps improve pace of play. Please remember that we are not the only golfers on the course and slow play could result in our group not being allowed to return to that course.

Directions to the course
From Dallas:
1. From downtown, take 35 E south.
2. Take 67 south toward Cleburne.
3. Continue on 67 south and travel past I-20 and Beltline Road.
4. Exit Lake Ridge Parkway and turn right.
5. Continue about two miles and turn left @ Park Ridge.
6. Park Ridges runs straight into Tangle Ridge Golf Course.
From Ft. Worth:
1. From downtown Ft. Worth, take 287 south to I-20
2. Take I-20 east toward 360.
3. Go past 360 and exit Great Southwest Parkway.
4. Turn right on Great Southwest Parkway and travel south.
5. At triangle, veer right and merge with Lake Ridge Parkway.
6. Continue toward Joe Pool Lake and travel over two bridges.
7. Turn right on Lake Ridge Parkway into the Lake Ridge homes.
8. Travel about a mile and half to Park Ridge, turn right.
9. Park Ridges runs straight into Tangle Ridge Golf Course.

We have selected the Links at Waterchase and Coyote Ridge as the courses for this year's tournament. These courses are rated in the top 5 mid-priced courses in DFW!Go to the Texas Shootout page for more info.
Austin Adventure!
Help Randy Z celebrate his birthday with a round of golf in Austin on Oct 25. Randy Z has reserved 4 tee times @ Wolfdancer Golf Course outside of Austin on Oct. 25. 9:30, 40, 50, and 10:00. He is waiting to hear from his friend (the pro) as to what kind of pricing we can do. Normal price is $165 (which includes a caddy for the group). Last year they did $99 per person + $80 (plus tip) for the group forecaddy (the $80 was split by the group). So roughly $125 for the golf. The resort is the Lost Pines Hyatt in Bastrop. Randy will let us know the final golf rate.Accomadations are on your own. This weekend is a UT football home game so make your plans soon! Stay tuned for more info!
